Yes, Giving Tuesday! A calendar reminder to express gratitude to those who are pushing the way forward with causes that are close to our hearts. For us, we go back to where LOC all started - fighting Alzheimer's and Dementia. Below are a few of our fav's if you feel so inclined! Either way, good to know about.
1. Eldera.AI - A "global virtual village where generations come together to connect, learn from each other, have fun, and create a better future." An amazing resource where the wisdom of older adults is shared through technology with virtual meetings and genuine connection.
2. Hilarity For Charity - A national non-profit founded by Lauren and Seth Rogen who are on a mission to care for families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. They are passionate about activating the next generation of Alzheimer’s advocates. They are also committed to funding leaders in brain health research and education. Comedy people using their gifts to to give back to the Alzheimer's community? How could we not support them?!
3. OPICA - The first Adult Day program and Counseling Center in Los Angeles that serves those affected with memory loss and their families. Running in person activities daily, participants can be dropped off giving caregivers some "me" time. What a gift to elders and their families fund by generous donations, like yours?
